Take Care

Marble and slate

Cleaning your marble products regularly is the best way to avoid any permanent stains, especially red wine on your coasters! To clean, create a mixture of warm water and dishwashing liquid. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake, making sure the ingredients mix fully. Spray the solution onto your product and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away with a damp sponge. Avoid putting any acidic substances onto marble and slate i.e. vinegar, lemon juice.

Agate can be cleaned very easily using warm soapy water and a soft brush. Be sure not to use any cleaning objects that are harder than agate for scrubbing or cleaning. Avoid using any household chemicals when cleaning your agate gemstones, and avoid any prolonged exposure to extreme heat.

Epoxy-coated steel

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean and wipe dry your epoxy-coated steel products. Please be aware that direct contact with food, drink, or cleaning products may leave a stain on the surface.

Mirrors and glass

Dilute dishwashing liquid in warm water and use a sponge to wipe the solution over the mirrored/glass surface. Use a piece of crumpled newspaper to dry and polish the surface. Please be aware that direct contact with food, drink or cleaning products may leave a stain on the surface.

Solid wood

Wipe the wood with a damp cloth to clean. Do not use cleaning products containing alcohol, ammonia or petroleum, and avoid using furniture polish. Avoid getting any oily substances on the wood.

Leather should be cleaned regularly. Use a soft cloth to wipe down your leather products, and a commercial leather cleaner.  Please be aware the colour of the leather may change over time from exposure to light.

We recommend professional cleaning for all scatters, especially velvet. Please keep fabric out of direct sunlight to avoid the colour of the fabric changing colour over time.
